Collection: Morris Brown Wolverines

Founded in 1881 by the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Morris Brown College was born from a powerful commitment to Black self-determination and education. Created for and by African Americans, the institution was chartered in 1885 and opened its doors in Atlanta on October 15 of that year to 107 students—establishing a legacy unlike any other institution of higher learning in Georgia.

Named in honor of Morris Brown, the second bishop of the AME Church, the college represents generations of faith, perseverance and community investment in education. This collection celebrates that enduring spirit and the vision of a community determined to build an institution of its own and create greater opportunities for generations to come.
